Pair Of Alleged Car Burglars Nabbed Following Two-Month Investigation

A pair of alleged car burglars were nabbed by police following a two-month investigation.

Christopher Right, 46, of Shelton, and Luis Correa, 47, of Bridgeport, were arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3, for a series of alleged overnight car burglaries during August and September, in the Huntington area of Shelton, said Shelton Police Det. Chris Nugent.

The two were arrested after officers were able to identify and locate items reported stolen and linked the two to the thefts, Nugent said.

Right was arrested with the help of Bridgeport and Trumbull police agencies, during a traffic stop in Bridgeport.

Correa was arrested at his home in Bridgeport. 

Both were charged with burglary and larceny related offenses. 

Right is being held on a $20,000 bond. Correa is being held on a $15,000 bond.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles, exterior sheds, and to not leave items of value outside their residence, Nugent said.
